The Pilates Process Teacher Training

TPP training is thorough and complex. Apart from teaching essentials we focus on developing teachers who adapt to the learning styles and personalities of their clientele. The art of teaching requires an eye for detail, exceptional two-way communication skills and an understanding of how and why we teach what we teach. The Pilates Process incorporates creative and diverse methods of teacher training that develop these abilities and aims to inspire their continued development through an entire teaching career.

The teacher training courses are in depth, intensive - and fun! Be prepared to do homework and practice between sessions.

The Pilates Process Training is held regularly at our home studio, Riverdale Pilates in Toronto and at Pacific Interior Pilates, our Western Canada Education Centre in Kelowna, B.C.

THERAPEUTIC PILATES COURSE



MAT L1 & L2

This intensive mat course is the foundation of all Pilates Process™ courses. We teach you to understand practical anatomy, postural programming, and how to adapt the exercises and the teaching approach to get the best results. There is significant homework and practice required between classes.

CADILLAC L1 & L2

The Cadillac and its more contained form, the Wall Unit or Tower, is a highly accessible piece of Pilates equipment. From the beginner to the fully advanced client there are extensive exercise choices for every level of student. For instructors teaching Therapeutic Pilates, this is a very adaptable piece of equipment that expands your exercise options significantly.

THERAPEUTIC PILATES COURSE

Therapeutic Pilates is a 20 hour course designed to bridge the gap between Pilates and Physiotherapy. This course is based on the fundamental principles of core stability and on the premise that although Pilates is a good system for addressing global stability it does not specifically address local stabilizers. The Therapeutic Pilates Course teaches students how to progress clients safely, from local to global stability and why it is such a crucial progression.

This course is designed for instructors already experienced in private training who are searching for more effective methods of addressing injuries and chronic conditions within their clientele. Due to the hands on approach there is a limit of 12 participants.
